USC point guard Bruce Ellington returned to basketball practice Monday

USC two sport standout Bruce Ellington Monday practiced with the Gamecock basketball team for the first time since last March.   Ellington led the Gamecocks in scoring last season at nearly 13 points per game.  He also had a team high 97 assists. 

He’s expected to suit up for the Gamecock basketball team for the first time this season Thursday night when Providence plays in Columbia as part of the SEC-Big East Challenge.

Ellington had his best football game of the season Saturday against Clemson with three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown.   On the season he has 17 catches for 211 yards and one touchdown.
