Carowinds announces opening date

Carowinds has announced they will reopen next month and with that, a new hiring event in hopes to bring in 2,000 employees. The amusement park straddling North and South Carolina will open March 12th with a preview for season passholders the night before. The water park opens May 28th. Hiring is also underway to bring in jobs from rides, merchandise, park services, security, admissions and entertainment. The hourly pay starts at 15 an hour which is up from a year ago.
