Residents in the Lake Wylie area have been issued a boil water notice after emergency repair was announced by Blue Granite Water Company. They serve most of the Lake Wylie area and they buy water from York County which gets it after Rock Hill draws it from Lake Wylie then sells it to customers along the SC 49 and 274 areas. The notice was issued Monday by Blue Granite that residents in Lake Wylie should boil water used for drinking or cooking until further notice. Homes in Camburn, Thatcher Crossing, and Maggie Springs Way are all impacted. Other areas like Paddlers Cove and Lake Crest were also made aware of the advisory.
