Winthrop interim AD leaves to take job within private sector

Hank Harrawood, Winthrop’s interim athletic Director has decided to move on. He is taking a job at Knipp Law Office in Charlotte. His last day with the University will be this Friday. Harrawood served as the interim AD after Ken Halpin left for Purdue back in July. Before working alongside Halpin, he worked as liason to the NCAA for compliance matters and helped supervise day to day operations of the athletic department.

Winthrop is also of course searching for a new University President.George Hynd has served in the role since 2019
