Tega Cay Police Chief retires

In a post by the Tega Cay Police Department, they offered this release
After 28 years of law enforcement service, Tega Cay Police Chief Steven Parker has announced his retirement effective October 29. After serving the City of Rock Hill for over 20 years Parker took over as police chief in Tega Cay on January 1, 2015. In his time with the City, Parker oversaw the design and construction of the City’s new police station, established patrol zones, increased officer training, re-established the City’s dispatch services and created the Camp Cadet program. Under Parker’s leadership the department also achieved its first accreditation and re-accreditation.
The City has begun the search for the next police chief with the goal of filling the position by the end of October
