OTS Media Group Brings Home Record 16 State Broadcasting Awards

OTS Media Group, the parent company of WRHI, received 16 Statewide Broadcast awards from the South Carolina Broadcaster’s Association during the annual STAR Award ceremony on Saturday night in Columbia.  The 16 awards were more than any other Radio or Television Station.  WRHI received 10 “STAR Awards” which are “1st Place” awards and 6 “Awards of Merit” which are for 2nd place.  For the 14th time in the last 17 years, WRHI was named one of the top two Radio Stations in the entire state as it was selected the “Award of Merit” winner for Radio Station of the Year (WYRD-FM in Greenville won the STAR Award). On the television side, WYFF-TV in Greenville won the STAR Award for TV Station Of The Year.

Some of the award highlights include Chris Miller being named South Carolina Sportscaster of the Year for an unprecedented 11th straight time.  Palmetto Mornings’ was Radio Show Of The Year (the first time OTS Media has won in this hotly contested category).  Straight Talk was named the Top Public Affairs Program for a 2nd consecutive year.  Below is a full list of the Awards OTS Media received.
