Nov. 5 COVID update: 524 new cases announced, percent positive ticks up

SC-DHEC announced a percent positive of 17.9%, this afternoon. The number is a substantial jump from previous days,  but only 2,922 people were tested for the virus on Wednesday.

524 cases were announced. York County had 34 cases, Lancaster County had 7 and Chester County had 1.

7 additional confirmed deaths were also announced. They include an elderly York County individual
