PRETTL Electronics Inc., a German-based industry, is expanding its operation in Greenville this summer, which is expected to bring around 80 jobs to the area. The new operation will be housed at PRETTL’s existing Greenville County facility, which currently produces inverters that supply (AC) alternating currents from (DC) direct currents for the solar panel and wind turbine industries.

Rainer Koschante, the President of PRETTL Electronics Greenville, says the company is into the renewable energy industry.

Our goal with this initiative is to provide outstanding customer service, product quality, high value, and rapid delivery to meet the needs of customers in the growing alternative energy space.

State Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said PRETTL is one of many German manufacturers involved with the Palmetto State.

South Carolina has a strong trade relationship with Germany, with a number of Germany-based companies investing in our state. PRETTL’s decision to further invest… will certainly help strengthen that relationship as well as create new jobs for South Carolinians.

PRETTL Electronics Greenville Inc. is the electronics division’s first presence in the United States. Job openings for the business are starting immediately. Also, to fill the positions, PRETTL is working with readySC, a workforce training program based out of the state technical college system, in the recruiting and training of associates.
