SC-DHEC announces new positive COVID-19 cases at Clover and South Pointe High Schools

SC-DHEC this afternoon announced additional cases of COVID-19 at Clover and South Pointe High Schools. Clover added one additional student case since Friday, bringing their total to 9, while South Pointe has less than 5 student cases. The Fort Mill and York School Districts had 0 new positive cases.

739 new cases of COVID-19 were announced, Tuesday afternoon. York County had 18, Lancaster County had 12 and Chester County had none. 5,160 people were tested for the virus on Monday and 14.3% tested positive.

30 additional confirmed deaths were also announced. They include 2 elderly York County individuals.

SC-DHEC also announced 2,000 additional cases of COVID-19 that were reported late to SC-DHEC by Augusta University Healthcare in Georgia. Those test results cover a time frame of March 18 through September 17.
