Repairs to water line in Fort Mill will require water outages
York County’s water and sewer department says repairs to a main water line will begin at 4:00 this afternoon and will cause water outages along Springhill Farm Road until repairs are restored.
The county says Wednesday afternoon a contractor working at the INA Bearing Shaeffler building complex in Fort Mill damaged the main water line along Springhill Farm Road.
Crews were able to stabilize the leak overnight with no outages.
The repairs beginning late this afternoon will shut off water service for the entire length of Springhill Farm Road from Carowinds Boulevard to SC 51.
Service will be interrupted on Stateview Boulevard, Ideal Way and Center Circle.
