The dean of USC-Lancaster says the still relatively new Palmetto College is offering students the opportunity to earn bachelors degrees without leaving the city.

Walter Collins says students take courses online during their junior and senior years.

“It’s a lot more affordable than traveling to these campuses,” Collins said, “and it’s a lot more convenient, especially for those who are already in the workplace who need a four-year degree for a promotion or for a new position.”

Collins says the two most popular bachelor degree programs at USC-L are organizational leadership and a double-major liberal studies program.

Last May he says the school had more students graduate with leadership distinction.
