South Pointe Stallion senior golfer Chandler Case has decided to stay close to home and accept a scholarship at Winthrop. Case, who made the announcement at school, said her reason for choosing Winthrop was her relationship with Eagles head coach Jodi Wendt. She then went on to say that she never really considered Winthrop but absolutely fell in love with the campus and has no problem with being this close to home. The senior, who says she excells in driving, but could use some work on her short game, will look to be a contributor for the Eagles immediately. She helped lead her Stallion squad to four region championships over the past 4 seasons. As if the day couldn’t get any better, Case was suprised with a new vehicle at the conclusion of the event.
