Steve Spurrier and Sterling Sharp finished at six under

The Chick-Fil-A Bowl Challenge is in the books and once again Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson and Jon Barry have won the battle on the golf course. The Ramblin’ Wreck duo defended their title by posting a -10 par on the board. That ended up being one stroke better than Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher and Terrell Buckley.

USC’s duo of Steve Spurrier and Sterling Sharp, who have twice won this tournament, finished at -6 today. This was Spurrier’s first completive round of golf since his knee replacement surgery last year.

Clemson’s Dabo Swinney and Steve Fuller finished at -1.

Today’s challenge featured a lot of the big college football coaches names, including Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Al Golden and Jim Grobe.

There have been no reports of Saban yelling at anyone or Meyer committing a recruiting violation during today’s round.  We will keep you posted.

For winning today, Johnson and Barry will receive 125,000 dollars to go towards scholarships at Georgia Tech.
