Report: College of Charleston set to hire Doug Wojcik

According to a report, the College of Charleston will hire Doug Wojcik to take over its basketball program. ESPN.com, citing sources, says Wojcik will be officially introduced by Wednesday. He will replace Bobby Cremins, who retired earlier this month.

Wojcik has been the head coach at Tulsa the past seven seasons. He was fired recently after the Golden Hurricanes finished 17-14 and 10-6 in Conference USA this season. Wojick only had one losing season in Tulsa, but failed to lead them to the NCAA tournament in his seven years on the bench.

The Cougars finished 19-12 this season. They were 10-8 in the Southern Conference. Mark Bynington took over the program midseason after Cremins left because of exhaustion.
