Man steals $7k in cash from Rock Hill Chicken Shak
A Rock Hill restaurant is reportedly out of more than 7-thousand dollars after an armed robbery this weekend.
An employee at the Chicken Shak on East Main Street told police that a black man robbed him at gunpoint as he was taking out he trash just after 11 o’clock Saturday night.
A Rock Hill police report says the victim told officers the man was carrying a 32-caliber revolver and said, “I don’t want to hurt you because you’re black, I just want the money.”
The employee opened the cash drawer and gave the suspect just over 73-hundred dollars in cash before running out the back door.
The suspect reportedly left in a four-door sedan down Pinewood Road.
