New landscaping to transform the I-77 at exits 82a, b and c
In the weeks to come, you can expect some new landscaping at the Interstate 77 interchange at Cherry and Celanese Roads.
Tuesday afternoon, Rock Hill Mayor Doug Echols announced privately funded project to install new trees and shrubberies along the on and off ramps to give the area a cleaner, more welcoming look.
[audio: 0228-Echols-A.mp3]Echols said that plans call for 144 mature trees to be installed along the east side of the interchange at exits 82A, B and C.
Red Maple trees, Willow Oaks Creape Murdles and Southern Magnolias will be installed, the project is expected to be complete within the next six weeks.
