After a lengthy public hearing Tuesday, York County Council passed the 3rd and final reading of the Dave Lyle Blvd Extension Land Use Plan.

Tuesday’s decision followed more than two hours of comments from residents affected by the proposal.

York County Councilman Bump Roddey said Monday that the Land Use plan is simply a model for how the property would be used if — and when — an extension to Dave Lyle Blvd. is ever built.

And that funding is now in control of the state infrastructure bank that is pitching in for much of the proposed project. Roddey says that money must come from the state for the project to be completed.

Tuesday’s vote followed a total of five public hearings and comment periods after residents affected by the plan complained back in November they were not aware of the project and weren’t adequately notified.
