Business Rock Hill: 01/04/12 RockHillBleachery.com
With the new year comes a fresh start towards developing the site of the former Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Plant on White Street.
And one local group is working to develop an improved online presence dedicated to recruiting new business and development to the site.
Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation Board Member and RevenFlo Web Marketing Services President Jason Broadwater says a team of students working under his direction have developed a brand new website showcasing the property.
Broadwater says that now, more than ever, well-developed web presence is crucial.
{0103-Broadwater-A} (:42) Q: something big.
And Broadwater says, when it comes to the Bleachery corridor, there are lots to show.
{0103-Broadwater-B} (:13) Q: property.
The website itself is actually a product of the Hive, a state-of-the-art web development collaboration space in the former Citizens Building on Main Street. The facility is open to York Tech and Winthrop students in web-development-related fields. Broadwater says one of the outcomes of the project has also been a hands-on civics lesson for students.
{0103-Broadwater-C} (:39) Q: downtown anyway.
The site went live on Tuesday, and is accessible at rockhillbleachery.com, featuring some useful tools.
{0103-Broadwater-D} (:20) Q: really neat stuff.
And again, the website is rockhillbleachery.com.
And that’s this week’s Business Rock Hill.
