Man arrested trying to steal more than $800 worth of jeans
A Rock Hill man faces shoplifting charges after she tried to steal more than 800-dollars worth of merchandise from the Belk Department Store at the Rock Hill Galleria.
Thursday morning, officers were called to the store after 43-year-old James Ruffin, Junior was detained by loss prevention workers.
An employee told police he saw Ruffin pull empty shopping bags out of his pocket and pick jeans off the shelves so it would appear as if he had paid for the merchandise.
A total of 16 pairs of jeans were recovered and returned to the store.
