Lancaster man arrested for firing a pistol behind club
A Lancaster man has been arrested after reportedly firing shots behind a Rock Hill nightclub Sunday.
22-year-old Otis Javon Lathan is charged with disorderly conduct, possession of a weapon on the premises where alcohol is sold and unlawfully carrying a pistol.
A York County Sheriff’s Office report says a woman ran around the corner of Club Cascade on Riverview Road about 2 a.m. Sunday claiming a man was shooting a gun behind the club.
A deputy ran around the back and noticed a man sitting in a car. The deputy pulled out his pistol as he approached the car… then put away his gun and handcuffed the man when the man’s hands were empty.
The deputy found a semi-automatic pistol and a spent shell from it under the driver’s seat. After Lathan was identified, charged and booked, the deputy found out the pistol was registered as being stolen from Lancaster County.
