ChristmasVille descends on Old Town this weekend
ROCK HILL — ChristmasVille 2011 comes to Old Town Rock Hill Thursday through Sunday.
The 6th annual festival is a holiday celebration of the late Rock Hill artist Vernon Grant and includes his hundreds of Santa and holiday images.
This year’s festival features traditional favorites like the ice skating rink, a snow village, Santa’s workshop, historic trolley tours, a gingerbread house contest and display, horse-drawn carriage rides and Santa’s great gnome awakening and jingle bell parade.
ChristmasVille features 60 different activities for people of all ages. This year event organizers have added such things as the Dickens Ball, a miniature doghouse display, the guardian angel tree, pony rides, and Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix, which features the world’s only skateboarding basset hound.
You can also get a full aerial look at ChristmasVille on the 40-foot ferris wheel.
WRHI and Interstate 107 are official sponsors of the festival.
