More copper thefts
Police believe one or more thieves stole $3000 in copper wiring from a cell tower on Cherry Road. A supervisor found nine copper wires were missing room a Nextel tower and six more were missing from a Sprint tower. Last month Rock Hill police said that copper and metal thefts were on the rise with soaring prices as criminals have targeted air conditioners, copper pipes, storm grates and cemetery vases.
