Ford wants SC State president to quit, LAC audit continues (AUDIO)
Charleston Senator Robert Ford continues to call for the resignation of SC State University President George Cooper. He wrote a letter with a group of legislators asking for Cooper to step down after the school’s faculty senate reported a vote of “no confidence” in Cooper’s leadership.

South Carolina State is currently under a major audit by state and federal investigators. In question is the spending $30 million in federal money designated for the James Clyburn Transportation Center at the school. The facility is still in construction.
The LAC says it plans to release the audit in March of this year.
