SC announces 4 deaths related to COVID-19, 86 additional cases

Four additional people have passed away due to the spread of the coronavirus, bringing the total to 13. The four individuals were all elderly and had underlying health conditions. They were from Richland, Kershaw, Greenville and Florence counties.
SC-DHEC is also investigating 86 additional cases across 39 counties, bringing the total to 539 cases. Lancaster County had one new case while York County had no additional cases.
There is a backlog of roughly 1,800 cases that are still being worked through by SC-DHEC.
