In the past 2 weeks Winthrop University has received recognition from both the US News and the Princeton review. US News ranks Winthrop 8th in the South’s top 10 public regional universities that convey bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the 2018 US News and World’s Report’s edition of America’s Best Colleges.
US News noted Winthrop’s first year student retention rate, which is 75 percent, the student faculty ratio remained 14 to 1 and the actual graduation rate in 2016 increased from 55 to 58 percent. The Princeton review recognized Winthrop as one of 140 schools that the company recommends online at 2018 Best Colleges, Region by Region.
