Burglar swipes thousands of pain pills from Rock Hill pharmacy
A Rock Hill pharmacy was robbed of thousands of prescription pills early Thursday morning.
Around 12:30 a.m., police say a lone burglar used a crowbar to pry his way into the South End Pharmacy on Albright Road.
Surveillance photo, which was since been reviewed by authorities, shows a black man dressed in all black clothing ripping wires from an alarm box. The man covered his face and was wearing gloves during the robbery.
Once inside, surveillance video shoes the suspect attempting to vandalize the pharmacy’s security system and closed-circuit television system.
The pharmacy’s owner said he was missing ten bottles of Hydrocodone with approximately 500 pills in each container and several bottles of Xanax with 1,000 pills per bottle.
The man also took off with a bottle of Tussionex, $400 in cash and a soft drink.
