South Carolina’s Clowney wins Hendricks Award
[media-credit name=”BleacherReport.com” align=”alignright” width=”300″][/media-credit]South Pointe High graduate Jadeveon Clowney was awarded today with the nation’s top award for the top college football defensive player.
Clowney, named this week to the all-SEC team, holds a school record at Carolina with 13 sacks and Wednesday, won the Ted Hendricks award as a sophomore.
In the Thanksgiving weekend game against Clemson, he set a record with 4.5 sacks in a single game.
