Name of woman involved in Rock Hill shooting has been revealed; friend charged with murder in incident

The name of the woman who was shot and killed in Rock Hill this week has been revealed. 40 year old Samarian Lindsay was shot by a man who is not yet named but officers say will not be charged due him acting in self defense. The two worked together at a nearby business. The incident happened just after 3pm Wednesday at Riverwalk Parkway near Cel River Road. Lindsay got into a vehicle with her girlfriend Brittney Reed and they blocked the man’s vehicle while he was in traffic. Lindsay walked up to the car and pulled a gun, but the man then pulled his gun and shot her three times in the chest. Lindsey was taken to Piedmont where she was later pronounced dead. Reed was charged with assault and battery for punching the man in the face after the shots were fired. After initially being charged with assault and battery, she was then charged with murder later this week due to her being the one who gave the gun to Lindsay. Bond has been denied for Reed.
