Its been over a week since the damaging hail storm hit Rock Hill, but there is still much to be done in terms of cleanup and repairs. Over the weekend, there were reports of over 200 volunteers helping across areas of the Southside of the city where the storm hit hardest. From city workers including mayor John Gettys, students with Dutchman Creek Middle and other businesses like Williams & Fudge all chipped in where they could to help residents. One such organization was Samaritans Purse. The nonprofit has been helping assist since Tuesday. Samaratins Purse’s sister organization the Billy Graham Rapid Response team, was also on scene to help with the damage.
