Josh Edwards was introduced Monday night at a meet and greet at the York County Government Center. Edwards will be taking the place of David Hudspeth who announced back in the fall he would be stepping down. Edwards was chosen from a highly qualified field of candidates and brings energy and experience to the role of York County Manager. He is a certified Public manager who got his Bachelor’s from Wake Forest and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Edwards has more than 16 years of experience serving in local government. He began his career as a budget analyst in Fairfax, Virginia and has later worked under different titles in Durham, and Cary North Carolina. Most recently, he was the Assistant manager for nearly five years for the Athens Clarke County Unified Government. He’ll begin work as York County Manager on April 8th
