Rinehart to re-launch candidacy for York County Council

Local businessman John Rinehart, Sr., will announce Friday what he calls the success of his petition drive to be on the November 6th ballot as a candidate for York County Council District 2.  

In a news release Wednesday, Rinehart says supporters have, “worked tirelessly to collect these signatures and will announce the final results” Friday.

The announcement is scheduled to take place at 12 p.m. at Courtney’s Barbecue in Clover.

Rinehart is the founder and chairman of the board of Rinehart Realty Corporation.

He will try to unseat first-term county councilman Bruce Henderson.

Rinehart was one of about 200 candidates removed from the June 12 Republican primary ballot because of a mixup over financial paperwork.
