Two arrested in Lancaster County hit-and-run

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has charged two men with attempted murder in connection with an alleged hit and run in which two other men were struck by a vehicle.

18-year-old Brett Daniel Wright of Lancaster and 19-year-old Joshua Neal Barton of Lancaster were arrested Tuesday.

A news release from Sheriff Barry Faile says the charges stem from an investigation into an incident Saturday in which Brandon Maree and Ricky Jones were struck by a vehicle on Ruth Street in Lancaster.

The sheriff’s office says the incident was an intentional assault on Maree and Jones and that there was some type of activity involving illegal drugs at Barton and Wright’s home.  It’s not known whether Maree and Jones were involved in the drug incident.
