The 3rd ranked USC baseball team is headed to Athens, Georgia this weekend for their final road series of the 2012 season.  Since beating Vanderbilt, 6-4, on April 1st, the Gamecocks are 18-4, including a 15-1 mark against league opponents in that span.  Earlier today USC Head Baseball Coach, Ray Tanner, spoke with the media to preview the series in Athens.

Tanner does not expect Colby Holmes, who was abruptly scratched from his April 25th start with a shoulder injury against Alabama, to be activated for the Georgia series.

Following the 3-game weekend set with Georgia, The Gamecocks will host USC Upstate Tuesday, May 15th, then close out the regular season hosting a 3-game series against LSU that gets underway the following Thursday.
