Family Trust announces new White Street headquarters
Family Trust Federal Credit Union announced plans today to build a $7 million, 36-thousand square-foot administrative headquarters on the site of its existing branch on West White Street.
[media-credit id=23 align=”alignright” width=”300″][/media-credit]Family Trust first opened in that area 54 years ago in a storage room of the Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Plant.
Alan Aschenbrenner, a designer with 505 Design, says the new building will reflect Family Trust president and CEO Lee Gardner’s vision of being a catalyst for re-development.
[audio: 0425-Alan-A.mp3]Family Trust’s administrative headquarters will house 65 employees. Gardner says part of the bottom floor of the new facility might be used as an economic incubator.

[audio: 0425-Echols-A.mp3]Construction on the new headquarters is scheduled to begin in early 2014 after the city of Rock Hill completes its White Street Beautification project.
The facility will open late that year or in early 2015.
