Rock Hill man arrested in sexual assault of 12-year-old
A Rock Hill man was arrested this weekend in connection with the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl in January.
22-year-old Cordarrel Akeem Thrower of Russell Street faces charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a minor under 16 after the victim’s mother told police on January 17th Thrower undressed her before having intercourse at her grandmother’s house.
The girl’s mother told police that particular day was a late start day for area schools and the suspect and the victim were watching TV while the victim’s grandmother was asleep. The victim told her parents about the assault after she was treated for an infection.
Thrower remains at the Moss Justice Center on 50-thousand dollars bond.
