Report: Substitute teacher assaulted 6-year-old after field trip
Authorities are investigating a report a substitute teacher assaulting a 6-year-old child at Old Pointe Elementary School.
A Rock Hill man called police after his wife told him his daughter said she was assaulted on a school bus after a field trip. According to the police report, the girl told her mother the teacher grabbed her by the arm and pushed her back into the seat and she wished to press charges.
The father then called the school to complain about the incident, and was told the teacher was hired through an outside agency that was uncooperative.
Rock Hill School District spokeswoman Elaine Baker tells WRHI the district’s substitute teachers are outsourced with Kelly Services in Rock Hill.
The case remains under investigation.

Please make sure you do your research before you make anymore comments about this case. It’s funny how a child can go home and just tell there parents whatever and that’s the way it is. Funny thing about it is there were no witnesses to the story. The child was told to sit down and may have been embarassed. This great substitute teacher of around 60 years old was arrested because of this. Looks like to me somebody is trying to get paid for Christmas. I’m sure this substitute’s Christmas and career will be ruined. So much for going to work everyday and trying to make a living. The new America of the Offended disgusts me.
