Report: Clover Middle School spanked students

A middle school teacher in Clover is expected to turn himself in to sheriff’s deputies Monday to face charges of assault and battery.

An arrest warrant is out for 48-year-old Chris Petrasek after Oak Ridge Middle School students said he spanked them in class back in November.

All three victims are 12-year-old boys, and the York County Sheriff’s Office learned of the incidents from the school’s principal.

Patrasek has been on administrative leave since November 22nd and has been an employee of the district since 2007.
