South Pointe captures upper state title, paves the road to Death Valley
ROCK HILL — Friday night, the South Pointe Stallions earned their first trip to the State Title game under coach Strait Heron, beating the York Cougars 38 to15. Friday night’s game was a rematch of a game the Stallions won during the regular season.
Cougars coach Bobby Carroll, a former South Pointe coach, told WRHI earlier this week his squad could not afford to give up the big plays.
