Tuesday night, the Rock Hill School Board moved forward with a plan to outsource school lunches to a third-party.

Tuesday night’s vote solidifies a letter of intent signed earlier this month for global firm Soxedo Operations to coordinate Rock Hill Schools’ food service program. Rock Hill Schools Superintendent Lynn Moody.

The Rock Hill School District is now one of 14 districts across the state that has outsourced food services, including both York and Clover Schools.

Superintendent Lynn Moody says one of the biggest changes will be seen at the high school level.

Moody says that from a dollars and cents perspective, there will be little change to the food service budget.

Moody said the plan approved last night is a 5-year agreement reviewed once a year. Food service under Sudexo starts June 1st.
