The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has initiated a statewide “Pothole Blitz” to repair road damages following this year’s winter weather. This effort will extend over the next several weeks, with maintenance crews working extended hours to enhance road safety.?

SCDOT urges motorists to report potholes on state-maintained roads by submitting maintenance work requests. This proactive approach allows crews to efficiently address reported issues. Reports can be made through SCDOT’s Customer Service Center at 855-GO-SCDOT (855-467-2368) or 803-737-1200, or by submitting a maintenance work request online.

The initiative responds to an increase in potholes resulting from recent winter conditions. SCDOT emphasizes the importance of driver safety around work zones and requests that motorists slow down and provide space for crews during repairs.

This Pothole Blitz is part of SCDOT’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving South Carolina’s road infrastructure. Past initiatives, such as the 2019 Pothole Blitz, have demonstrated the department’s dedication to addressing road maintenance needs promptly.
