York County Natural Gas announces formal expansion directing funding towards workforce development
York County Natural Gas Authority (YCNGA) has announced the formal expansion of its Community Investment Initiative, which will direct funding toward workforce development, education, and community enrichment across its service area. This initiative, funded by outside revenue from the sale of unused pipeline capacity to outside utilities, formalizes YCNGA’s already longstanding commitment to making impactful contributions throughout the communities it serves. With a particular emphasis on career readiness, the initiative will support York County’s four public school districts Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Clover, and York – as well as three local higher education institutions serving the region: Winthrop University, Clinton College, and York Technical College. Applications for Community Investment funding are open on YCNGA’s website at ycnga.com/community-support.
