Rock Hill- 11-Time South Carolina Statewide Sportscaster of the Year, Chris Miller, is taking over as Network Host for the Gamecock Radio Network. For the past 3 seasons, Miller has served as Pre and Post Game Co-Host on the network. Miller replaces Greg Brannon, who retired in the offseason. 2004 University of South Carolina graduate, Chet Tucker, will take over for Miller in the Pre and Post-game Co-host role. Tucker, who was a kicker for the Gamecocks during his time at Carolina, has served as a play-by-play and color analyst for the OTS Sports Network since 2015.
Pre-game coverage with Miller and Tucker will begin 3 hours prior to kickoff and is heard locally on Interstate 107 (FM 107.1). Miller and Tucker will return after the game to host the very popular “Carolina Calls” Post-Game as they take callers from around the state with questions about the current and upcoming Gamecock games. The first Gamecock broadcast of the season is September 3rd as South Carolina battles Georgia State in Columbia. Miller and Tucker go to air LIVE on the Gamecock Radio Network at 4:30pm
For home games, the two will be set-up in Gamecock Village in front of Williams-Brice Stadium for Pre-Game. The Post-Game show will be live from Williams-Brice Stadium. During road games, Miller and Tucker will broadcast live from the OTS Media studios in Rock Hill.
Gamecock Hall of Fame Quarterback, Todd Ellis, returns to the Gamecock Radio Network as the play by play voice for the 20th season (and 31st season overall on the network). Gamecock Hall of Fame Quarterback, Tommy Suggs, will celebrate his 50th year this season as the color analyst for Carolina football. Gamecock Hall of Fame offensive lineman, Jamar Nesbit, will serve as sideline reporter for the 4th season.
