Winthrop-Hampton Series Canceled For Big South Schedule Revisions
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference has announced adjustments to the remainder of the Men’s Basketball regular season schedule.
Winthrop’s final series against Hampton has been canceled by the conference office in an attempt to prioritize games from rescheduled postponements that impact seeding and hosting situations for the upcoming Hercules Tires Big South Men’s Basketball Championship.

The Eagles finish the regular season 20-1, with a 17-1 mark against Big South opponents, the most conference wins in a single-season in Big South history.
The Eagles have secured the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament and will return to action on Mar. 1 in the Big South Conference Tournament Quarterfinals at the Winthrop Coliseum.
Fans who purchased tickets to these games will be contacted by the ticket office early next week. Tickets purchased for other indoors sporting events this coming week (Feb. 25-Feb. 28) have not been affected.
