York Mayor excited about new economic development board

York Mayor Eddie Lee says he’s excited about the creation of the city’s economic development board.  Lee chairs the panel, which met for the first time last week.

He said Friday that projects have been stalled for several years because of the economic downturn.  Lee says those projects need to be re-energized and started again… especially since the Highway 5 Bypass is being widened.

Lee says western York County is the new frontier for economic development.

Lee says the city of York continues to grow, with its population increasing 11 percent in the 2010 US Census.
