Williams enters York County Council Race

The co-founder and owner of the Williams and Fudge student loan debt collection agency says he’s running for York County Council.

Gary Williams says he will challenge council chairman Britt Blackwell in the June Republican primary. Williams says the shakeup of leadership at the York County Culture and Heritage Museums is an example of good council leadership NOT being taken.

However, he says he’s excited about what the Museums’ governing commission is doing now.

Williams says he’d rather focus on opportunities and experiences York County has rather than what Blackwell and the rest of the council have not done.

Williams plans a formal announcement February 13th at 4 p.m. at the Old Town Bistro in downtown Rock Hill.
