The fryers were on full blaze Monday night at Nishie G’s on India Hook as hundreds turned out for a fundraiser for the Forever Blue Foundation, a local charity set up to help the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

John Rainer, who’s a Rock Hill police officer himself, set up the foundation five years ago following the death of two fellow officers in Charlotte.

Lines at one point were nearly out the door at the Rock Hill restaurant, and Rainer says events like the one Monday night mean a lot.

Rainer says another fundraiser is set in early March for the foundation. If you’d like to give online, head to www.foreverbluefoundation.org.
