DNC shells out $1.2M for September convention
The Democratic Party is shelling out big bucks to prepare for its September convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Democratic National Committee has spent $1.2 million for convention expenses over the last three months. The “Charlotte Observer” reports more than half of that amount went to pay for the salaries of its staff of 67 workers.
The money used to pay for the convention comes courtesy of a U.S. Treasury grant awarded to each party to pay for convention expenses.
