With the Democratic National Convention bringing some 35-thousand delegates, dignitaries and media to the Charlotte region this coming September, some of those delegates will be blowing off some steam at Charlotte Knights Stadium.

York County Convention and Business Bureau Executive Director Bennish Brown says its one of many events that are likely to take place in York County.

Rajkowski says he’s open to other ideas on how to involve the DNC with the stadium as well.

The event, which is private, is not a part of the convention itself and the proceeds from the event will benefit Children’s hospitals in Charlotte and Chicago.
