Romney campaigns in Columbia
GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney spoke to a few hundred supporters Wednesday night in the state capital.
The former Massachusetts governor was critical of President Barack Obama in a speech at The Hall at Senate’s End in Columbia.
Fresh off his win in the New Hampshire Primary, Romney told the crowd, “It’s been a tough three years for people in the Palmetto state.”

He said the president has failed on his promises to get America working again. Romney said, if elected, he will cut spending, balance the budget and restore the country to past greatness.
He appeared with Governor Nikki Haley and State Treasurer Curtis Loftis– both of whom have endorsed his candidacy.
