Civil rights activist’s son speaks at Rock Hill MLK prayer breakfast
Hundreds of people converged on Rock Hill’s First Baptist Church this morning to remember, act and celebrate the life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior.

The keynote speaker was Midlands State Representative Bakari Sellers. He says if you want to do the right thing you don’t ask questions such as is it safe?
[audio: 0116-Sellers-C.mp3]Seller’s father, Cleveland Sellers, was the only person convicted and jailed for protests that became known as the Orangeburg Massacre.
Three people were killed and 28 others, including Sellers, were wounded when state police opened fire on protestors who wanted the bowling alley at South Carolina State University integrated.
A full copy of Wednesday’s presentation will be posted to the web Tuesday.
